About Pencil and Palate
Why Pencil and Palate?
Pencil and Palate was born at the intersection of creativity, empathy, and clarity. With a background spanning content strategy, customer experience, technical recruiting, and nonprofit leadership, I (Rachel Welch) bring a human-centered approach to every project. Whether it’s writing thoughtful, research-backed wellness content or designing a user-first communication strategy, my goal is always the same: to connect, uplift, and inform with intention and accuracy.
The “pencil” represents storytelling and strategic writing, which are tools I’ve honed through years of content creation in health, food, and lifestyle spaces. The “palate” speaks to the sensory and emotional resonance of great content, to provide nourishing ideas that feed curiosity, wellness, and creativity.
At Pencil and Palate, you’ll find more than just deliverables. You’ll find a collaborator who listens deeply, communicates clearly, and understands how to bring both voice and vision to life.
So, feel free to reach out, subscribe, browse the blog, or pitch a project. I look forward to meeting you!
